Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival and Anamaduwa

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you are warmly welcomed and transferred to the rural area of Anamaduwa. Surrounded by lakes, forests, and village life, the evening is spent settling into your eco-friendly accommodation and enjoying the countryside’s calm.

 

Day 02 Anamaduwa Village Experiences

Spend the day immersed in sustainable village life with a guided bird-watching trail through the surrounding habitats. Later, enjoy kayaking on calm waters followed by cycling through picturesque villages. In the evening, take part in a hands-on cooking class over an open fire, learning traditional recipes using locally sourced ingredients.

 

Day 03 Anamaduwa to Habarana

Depart for the cultural heartland with a visit to the Dambulla Cave Temple, where ancient murals and statues reflect centuries of devotion. Continue to Habarana and enjoy a peaceful evening in a natural forest setting.

 

Day 04 Sigiriya and Minneriya

Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the early hours, discovering ancient gardens and panoramic views. Later, enjoy a soothing herbal foot massage before heading out on a jeep safari in Minneriya National Park, where elephants roam freely across open plains and wetlands.

 

Day 05 Habarana to Digana via Nalanda and Kandy

Travel toward Digana, stopping at the mysterious Nalanda Gedige, an ancient stone structure blending architectural influences. Continue to Kandy to visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of Sri Lanka’s most revered spiritual sites, before reaching your tranquil stay in Digana.

 

Day 06 Knuckles Mountain Range

Set out on a guided hike in the Knuckles Mountain Range, a UNESCO-listed landscape known for its rich biodiversity and dramatic scenery. Walk through cloud forests, streams, and remote trails while learning about endemic plants and sustainable conservation practices.

Day 07 Digana Village Life

Enjoy a deep immersion into village life in Digana, engaging with local families and their daily routines. Later, take a refreshing swim in a hidden jungle waterfall before joining a traditional cooking lesson, followed by a home-style dinner shared with your hosts.

 

Day 08 Digana to Gal Oya

Travel east toward the untouched wilderness of Gal Oya. The journey reveals changing landscapes and less-travelled roads, ending at a peaceful lodge surrounded by forest and wildlife.

 

Day 09 Gal Oya Experiences

Begin the day with a unique boat safari on the Gal Oya reservoir, where elephants are often seen swimming between islands. Later, visit an indigenous Vedda village to learn about their ancestral knowledge, forest-based lifestyle, and deep connection to nature.

 

Day 10 Gal Oya to Koslanda

Depart from Gal Oya and journey toward the misty hills of Koslanda. On arrival, enjoy a guided nature walk exploring the surrounding forests, birdlife, and scenic viewpoints near your eco retreat.

 

 

Day 11 Koslanda Leisure

This day is dedicated to rest and reflection. Spend time enjoying the natural surroundings, reading, walking, or simply listening to the sounds of the forest. Optional wellness experiences may be enjoyed at the lodge.

 

Day 12 Koslanda to Yala

Travel south toward Yala National Park. In the afternoon, head out on a guided safari to observe elephants, deer, crocodiles, and birdlife within the park’s varied ecosystems.

 

Day 13 Yala to Sinharaja

After breakfast, transfer to the Sinharaja Rainforest. In the evening, join a guided night trail with a resident naturalist to discover nocturnal creatures and learn about rainforest ecology.

 

Day 14 Sinharaja and Bentota

Spend the morning on the main nature trail within the Sinharaja Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in endemic flora and fauna. Later, travel to the coast and arrive in Bentota for a relaxed evening by the sea.

 

Day 15 Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Colombo and continue to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure, concluding a journey rooted in sustainability, nature, and authentic connection.
