Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival and Negombo

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you are warmly welcomed and transferred to Negombo. The rest of the day is reserved for rest after the flight, with time to enjoy the beach or relax by the hotel pool, allowing the family to settle in comfortably.

 

Day 02 Negombo to Sigiriya

Travel inland toward Sigiriya, stopping along the way to explore the Dambulla Cave Temple with its ancient murals and serene atmosphere. In the evening, enjoy a village experience that includes a bullock cart ride and a local cooking demonstration, offering an engaging introduction to rural Sri Lankan life.

 

Day 03 Sigiriya and Minneriya

Begin the day with an early morning climb of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, where panoramic views and fascinating history captivate visitors of all ages. In the afternoon, set out on a jeep safari in Minneriya National Park, known for its large gatherings of wild elephants and open grasslands.

Day 04 Sigiriya to Kandy

Depart Sigiriya and travel toward Kandy, stopping in Matale to visit a spice garden and learn

about Sri Lanka’s aromatic spices. In Kandy, visit the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic before enjoying a traditional cultural dance performance in the evening.

 

Day 05 Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

A scenic drive leads into the cool hill country of Nuwara Eliya. Along the way, stop at Ramboda Falls and visit a tea plantation and factory to discover the story behind Ceylon tea. The evening is spent strolling around Gregory Lake and exploring the charming town.

 

Day 06 Nuwara Eliya to Ella

Journey onward to Ella, stopping to admire the impressive Devon and St Clair’s Waterfalls. On arrival, explore the iconic Nine Arches Bridge and enjoy a gentle hike to Little Adam’s Peak, offering beautiful views and an enjoyable outdoor experience for families.

 

Day 07 Ella to Udawalawe

Depart from Ella in the morning and head to Udawalawe National Park. An afternoon jeep safari offers excellent chances to see elephants, deer, and a variety of birdlife in open landscapes. A visit to the Elephant Transit Home adds a meaningful conservation experience to the day.

 

Day 08 Udawalawe to Yala

Travel onward to Yala National Park and set out on an afternoon safari. The park is known for its diverse wildlife, including leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles, and birds. The evening is spent relaxing at the safari lodge surrounded by nature.

 

Day 09 Yala to Bentota

Continue along the southern coastal route toward Bentota, stopping at a turtle hatchery in Kosgoda to learn about sea turtle protection. The rest of the day is free to relax on the beach or enjoy a peaceful boat safari on the Madu River.

 

 

 

Day 10 Bentota Colombo Departure

Enjoy a relaxed morning by the sea before travelling to Colombo for a short city tour and last- minute shopping. The journey concludes with a transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
