Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you are warmly welcomed and transferred to Negombo, a coastal town. After the journey, the rest of the day is kept easy, allowing the family to unwind by the beach or enjoy the hotel pool. It is a gentle introduction to the island after the flight, setting a relaxed tone for the adventure ahead.
Travel inland toward Sigiriya, passing changing landscapes and rural villages. En route, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, where ancient murals and statues fascinate both adults and children.
